It will be the main foundation in your 30’s to 40’s, a very critical years really. It is a stage of life where you build the root of your career, intimate relationship with your better half, essential information in the society like paying taxes, paying your mortgages or even observing your personal cash flow.
Life has many good things to offer, most of the harvesting period should be timely, seeds are placed in your younger years and the fruits will be enjoyed in your retirement years.
Here are the lists that can save you and be well aware of the common mistakes people do in their 20’s.
1.) Easy Go Lucky Life
It’s not bad doing what you love and living the life you wanted but it will always depend in your behavior and mentality. There should be a control and limit to which you are taking it to the utmost peak of negligence in being part of the society that control should come from you.
There should be a balance and a plan for your life and good in taking big decisions in your life. Sometimes we forget what is the most important and that negligence drives us in our pit of failure.
2.) Health Myths
As you walk in the local supermarket we are entice with different kind of foods, especially with those nice looking labels and packages. Young studs and gals like us, explore our taste buds in various foods ranging from different fast food chains, restaurants, vast choices of junk foods and street foods.
We really don’t pay attention of the nutrition facts labeled at the back of the packages, the ingredients and processing of the food. Instead of taking organic foods we prefer the quickest meals but unhealthy ones too.
Other than foods we should take care of our health, just like the big toys(car) it must be well maintained and be well taken care of. Going to the gym, regular exercise and some cardio would make your body very happy. Regular checkup to our doctor is also very important, to prevent any future diseases.
3.) Financial Literacy taken for granted
It is a norm that we spend to our expenses, utilities, food, transportation, education, and shelter and ending up almost nothing to our savings. Equipping and investing our knowledge in financial education will benefit us in a whole new level. It’s an ideal perception to save first before spending, apply for bank savings, insurance and investments would reach us in financial freedom, applying the right attitude in handling our wealth.
Find a financial advisor. Find a friend or two who are practicing the right way to handle wealth, mastery of self discipline and goal setting will take you to financial freedom and worry free for the future.
4.) Relationship
What’s more important than our relationship to our loved ones? We tend to forget to build and make a good relationship to relatives and friends. Catching up small talks even if it is just personal talks, it binds us to their love and interest. It is them who will lend us help when we are in great need.
Invite him/her for a fresh brewed coffee you both usually hang out, or take a meal in the finest diner in town. Enjoy the moment and make good memories.
5.) Stop making a living
Have you ever experienced the lack of happiness?, that all of sudden you feel very sad and unsatisfied in your life? Maybe it’s because “You’re making a living instead of making a life.” Most of the professional nowadays pay attention to their job, making sure all the needs are being well taken care of, producing money to afford the life they wanted but the sad truth is they’re forgetting the most important thing.
You feel empty yet you’re producing more, you feel unsatisfied yet you eat in the finest restaurant in the country. It’s a toxic cycle which you are not well aware of.
If you’ve felt these things, then maybe it’s about to change your daily routine, be happy. Make that precious leave vacations and make everyday worth sitting and relaxing from day in and day out.
